U get ur 1st eval after 90 days but you don't get a raise no more then after ur 1 yr is when u get ur raise....that's what I call cheap

Guest | Jul 20, 2010
If u have open avaibility then your suppose to get at least 33 hrs but that's not always the case i have to complain to mgmt to get my 40

Guest | Jul 20, 2010
For the new employee your evaluation can be reviewed 30 days to 90 days. Be assure they are keeping track of what you do to see if you are company material.

Walmart can cut your hours, but if you have been with the company for quite some time I would suggest applying for unemployment for the days they take away.

Guest | Jul 20, 2010
I'm a full time employee and ask wal mart just cut my hours drastically are they aloud to do that

Guest | Jul 20, 2010
Customer Service is low at our Store! Not enough staff. Is this so our Store Manager can get a big bonus? We are pushed hard to take place of lesser crew.

Guest | Jul 20, 2010
Why am I being taken from the electronics department on nights to work other areas of the store with no one to watch the money in the registers? (In Michigan)

Guest | Jul 20, 2010
I want to know that when you are a new employee, when do you get your first evaluation?

Guest | Jul 19, 2010

Guest | Jul 13, 2010
I work at a Walmart in Texas....the managers at our store have huge favorites, and they get away with murder, yet others like myself end up having to work over

Guest | Jul 13, 2010
i work at walmart and i am very stressed and unhappy cause the managers have a certain people that dont have to do anything

Guest | Jul 10, 2010
My store is doing its best to get rid of long term and full time associates and hire part time help. This has been going on since March.

Guest | Jul 1, 2010
The moral in my store is at an all time low. We should hear the results of the Grass Roots Surveys on Friday.

For the most part yes it is a great company to work for. However it is not loyal to the associtates that make the company what it is at MAJOR corporate level. What they fail to see is that without us peons that move the freight help the customers, zone the departments, check them out at the front end, unload trucks, and everything in between there would be no corporate level because of the ppl at that level have no idea in the world how to set a modular. I mean come on. We get no gratitude for making Wal-Mart the multi billion or trillion dollar company that is. No hey thank you or here is free insurance because we can afford it....no pay raises, very shady with the discount card ( I have been here 4 yrs) and bounses. So don't tell me that it is a "wonderful" company to work for. It is a monopoly. Think really hard before you disagree....where does most of your check go? Back into wal-mart then on bills. So that my friend is a monopoly.

Must be nice!If you came to NY you would be singing a different story! We recently had one person fired for having 5 mins overtime.I always reccommend people NOT to work for Walmart...it's just not worth it.

I'm so sorry but I've been with the company 10 years and I hate it but I need a paycheck so i keep going back!! Maybe you should work in somewhere else instead of at corporate and see if you like it then!!!

I'm sorry, but i have been with the company over 10 years now and I love it. I dont work in bentonville, I work in a store in Illinois. I think this is the best the company has looked since I applied. If anyone does not enjoy the compnay or the position or store or job they have.... then QUIT! I am sure there are thousands of Americans out there who would love to have your position, your pay, and the ability to spend their paycheck at Wal-Mart for the items that they are looking to purchase.

Ok, the problem with Wal-Mart isn't on the corporate level, or even the store managers. It's the Assistant managers that need really training in how to treat people. The store I used to work at in Moline, IL, they really have a problem with the Assistants. All, of the assistant managers are cliquish, if you don't run in the same circles they do, they find every way possible to get you out of the store. Most are snooty even to customers, but they all have the store manager snowed.
