This is a great company to work for. Most people are very loyal to the company here.
Overall this is a massive organization; if you are going to work here, know that it this is a BIG company. It behaves like a big company. As long as you are okay with that, you will enjoy working here.

For the most part yes it is a great company to work for. However it is not loyal to the associtates that make the company what it is at MAJOR corporate level. What they fail to see is that without us peons that move the freight help the customers, zone the departments, check them out at the front end, unload trucks, and everything in between there would be no corporate level because of the ppl at that level have no idea in the world how to set a modular. I mean come on. We get no gratitude for making Wal-Mart the multi billion or trillion dollar company that is. No hey thank you or here is free insurance because we can afford it....no pay raises, very shady with the discount card ( I have been here 4 yrs) and bounses. So don't tell me that it is a "wonderful" company to work for. It is a monopoly. Think really hard before you disagree....where does most of your check go? Back into wal-mart then on bills. So that my friend is a monopoly.

Must be nice!If you came to NY you would be singing a different story! We recently had one person fired for having 5 mins overtime.I always reccommend people NOT to work for Walmart...it's just not worth it.

I'm sorry, but i have been with the company over 10 years now and I love it. I dont work in bentonville, I work in a store in Illinois. I think this is the best the company has looked since I applied. If anyone does not enjoy the compnay or the position or store or job they have.... then QUIT! I am sure there are thousands of Americans out there who would love to have your position, your pay, and the ability to spend their paycheck at Wal-Mart for the items that they are looking to purchase.

Ok, the problem with Wal-Mart isn't on the corporate level, or even the store managers. It's the Assistant managers that need really training in how to treat people. The store I used to work at in Moline, IL, they really have a problem with the Assistants. All, of the assistant managers are cliquish, if you don't run in the same circles they do, they find every way possible to get you out of the store. Most are snooty even to customers, but they all have the store manager snowed.
