Make it easier for women who want famlies.
I think a REAL system needs to be in place to allow women to take a year or two off and work part time and then rejoin the firm. It is crazy that you have to choose the firm or your family.

Would be nice to have a serious training program for first- and second-year associates.

The way a lot of firms think about training is wrong, in my opinion. A one-hour seminar every few weeks doesn’t really count as “training.” This counts, in most cases, as a cursory view from 30,000 feet. Real training is where 3 or 4 associates can spend a couple hours with a partner (almost like a small classroom setting) and ask questions to get a real understanding of a particular area of law. This could be done by practice group. If every junior associate could spend just 2 hours each week with a partner, associates would increase their knowledge and usefulness exponentially. 1 person have commented. Add your voice...
